Advice for solopreneurs

When I started Wit & Wire, I wanted to simplify as much of the process as possible.

To me, that meant starting with a basic text-only logo I could create in Canva, along with a website I could build and manage myself using a template.

Truthfully, I didn’t start investing in an external branding agency or a custom WordPress build until my business had passed $500k in revenue (over the first few years). And if I were starting from scratch, I’d do exactly the same thing again.

So if you’re just getting started, I’d personally recommend Squarespace or Kajabi (if you prefer an all-in-one platform).

If you feel confident about choosing WordPress, I previously used and still recommend Kadence as my favorite WordPress theme.

And if you’re looking for a side-by-side comparison of my favorite course creation platforms, then I recommend our free Course Creation Toolkit, which has my up-to-date picks.
